Ukraine warns another nation is preparing to attack – Indy News

Another nation may be preparing to join the war between Russia and Ukraine, which will turn it into a two-on-one battle.

According to Fox News, Ukrainian officials warned on Sunday that Belarus’s military was preparing for an attack.

In a statement shared on Facebook, Ukraine’s Defense Ministry said there were indications that the armed forces of the Republic of Belarus were preparing for a “direct attack” on Ukrainian territory.

Belarus is said to be on the northern border with Ukraine and used as a platform for Russian forces.

Ukraine’s Defense Ministry has issued a stern warning to Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko.

“The direct involvement of Belarusian troops in Russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine, contrary to the wishes of the military and the overwhelming majority of the Belarusian people, would be a grave mistake for Alexander Lukashenko,” the statement said.

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces assessed that, according to the Ukrainian online newspaper Pravda, “the level of threat to attack from the Volin side of the Republic of Belarus was high.”

The news comes after Lukashenko blamed the Ukraine conflict for the “monopolization of our planet by the United States.”

He also took the time to praise Putin.

“He and I have not only met as heads of state, we are on friendly terms,” he said. “I keep all his details, as far as possible, completely confidential, both state and private.”

“Putin is absolutely fit, he is in better form than before,” he said. “He’s a very intelligent, healthy person, physically fit – he’s an athlete. As they say here – all our funerals will be cold. “

He lamented the collapse of the Soviet Union and blamed the United States for the world’s problems.

“When the USSR existed, the world was multifaceted and one pole was balanced,” he said. “The reason for what is happening in the world right now is one-sidedness – the monopolization of our planet by the United States.”

It comes after President Vladimir Putin’s government entered a war of words with Joe Biden on Friday, sparking a furious response to the US president’s earlier statement about his Russian counterpart.

In comments to reporters, Biden called Putin a “war criminal” and a “murderous dictator” for the reported actions of some of his troops serving in Ukraine after the attack late last month. Russian forces have reportedly attacked civilian targets in various Ukrainian cities, killing women and children.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters in Moscow: “We have heard and seen statements that are a personal insult to President Putin.

“This kind of annoyance of Mr. Biden, his fatigue and sometimes the forgetfulness that leads to aggressive rhetoric, we will not evaluate harshly, so that there is no further aggression.”

Peskov added, “We consider such statements by the head of state unacceptable and unforgivable, whose bombs have killed thousands of people around the world.”

On Thursday, Putin delivered a speech to the Russian people that generally exploded in the West and some observers called it “Stalinsk,” as Fox News reported:

Vladimir Putin has been adapting his rhetoric since the stalled invasion of Ukraine, touching on Stalinist nostalgia and patriotic themes to increase public support for the war, which he called a “special military operation” and was launched as a defensive measure.

In a speech on Thursday, he slammed “Stalin-Esk” with a dog whistle and, according to a translation of his commentary, warned Russian “tricks and traitors” about a “fifth column” that serves to undermine his ambitions.

“The West, collectively, is trying to dismantle our society in order to provoke a civil conflict in Russia through the fifth column,” he said. “The goal is the collapse of Russia.”
