The View’s Houston repeats US lies in ‘already a war’ with Russia

In Monday’s edition, Sunny Houston beat the drums of war again Scene As he again called for a no-fly zone over Ukraine, a move that would surely drag the United States and NATO into a wider war with Russia. But he was immediately reprimanded by some of his co-hosts who dropped his claim and warned against the no-fly zone.
The conversation was started by co-host Huppy Goldberg, who was desperate to protect President Biden from all criticism. “They say, ‘Well, that’s all Biden’s fault,'” he said. “But I want someone to tell me, well, what should he do?”
Ignoring how Biden’s response was so slow that it made all actions fully responsive without predefining them, Houston still insisted on his decisions. “[I]It seems to me that we have tightened our economic sanctions, then people are saying, there is no oil. We did it, ”he said.
He followed suit, urging Russia to take the necessary “final steps” to stop it: “No-fly zone.”
“You have someone like Putin who says, ‘If you shoot down my planes during my war, I would consider it a war act,'” he said. “We’re already at war with them, and then where do we go?”
Goldstarg and co-host Joy Behar were quick to protest against Houston’s lies, and Crossstack was shaken:
Goldberg: We are not at war with Putin. Not yet.
[Crosstalk]
Behar: Hold on! We do not want a third world war in this world. It is a country with nuclear weapons. We have been under this gun of nuclear weapons since I was a child.

Behar: You can’t hang out with a madman with a nuclear weapon. Sorry.
“So, do we allow him to kill all of Ukraine?” Hostin hyperbolically shot back. “But when does he stop Joy, when does he stop?”
Alyssa Farah Griffin, a former VP press secretary, argued that Putin needed to “increase the off-ramp” somehow to reduce the fighting. “It could be quickly closed diplomatically,” he said, preventing Goldberg from asking “how?”
But Farah seems to have contradicted himself by agreeing with Houston:
Farah: What the United States and the Europeans have done is we have to isolate him from every international market.
Houston: China did not.
Farah: But we need Switzerland, we need China, we need India to do that. Isolate him so much that he cannot sustain this mission. But I’m with Sunny. How many people can die mercilessly at his hands before we, the greatest powers, say that we are willing to do anything to save their lives?
But a no-fly zone isn’t an “off-ramp,” it’s an increase. To enforce a no-fly zone, it involves not only firing Russian aircraft over Ukraine, but also destroying Russian surface-to-air missile sites on Russian soil aimed at Ukraine to protect our aircraft.
A few minutes later, Houston also made a false claim about the Russian threat to arms supplies to western Ukraine. “But now Putin is saying, if you send these weapons, I think it’s a war.” He misinterpreted.
In fact, Russia has said it will consider supply shipments “legitimate targets.” The question is where they will strike those supplies.
Sunny Houston’s lies were made possible by the lucrative sponsorship of Crest and Vix. Their contact information is attached.

Sunny Hostin: Yes.
Goldberg: But I want someone to tell me what to do. I want someone from Opash to come and say, we can do this. Here’s how we can fight this.
HOUSTIN: Well, I was talking to Alyssa outside the camera because I think we’ve tightened our economic sanctions, then people are saying, no oil. We did that. The final step in my view, and what we talked about on the show is the no-fly zone. You have someone like Putin who says, if you shoot down my planes during my war, I will think it is war work. We’re already at war with them, and then where do we go –
Goldberg: We are not at war with Putin. Not yet.
[Crosstalk]
Behar: Hold on! We do not want a third world war in this world. It is a country with nuclear weapons. We have been under this gun of nuclear weapons since I was a child.
Houston: But when does he stop Joy, when does he stop?
Alyssa Farah Griffin: That’s right, there is no off-ramp for Putin
Behar: You can’t hang out with a madman with a nuclear weapon. Sorry.
Farah: He has to be off the ramp.
HOUSTIN: So, will we allow him to kill all of Ukraine?
Behar: You have to involve China. Someone else has to come here.
Goldberg: But here’s the question. What were you going to say?
Farah: He needs an off-ramp. So Putin is a deeply reckless man. He’s in a corner. His hand is decayed. About 90 percent of it is in Ukraine. This can be quickly stopped diplomatically if we–
Goldberg: How?
Farah: What the United States and the Europeans have done is we have to isolate him from every international market.
Houston: China did not.
Farah: But we need Switzerland, we need China, we need India to do that. Isolate him so much that he will not be able to sustain this mission. But I’m with Sunny. How many people can die mercilessly at his hands before we, the greatest powers, say that we are willing to do anything to save their lives?
Goldberg: All right, here it is–
Behar: Are you willing to go to nuclear war? You?
Farah: Yesterday the Russians came within ten miles of Poland. Poland is a NATO ally. So, we will call Article V.
Behar: It’s provocative, yes.

Farah: And we can get more military equipment to the Ukrainian military. We should get their Mig. We should get them–
GOLDBERG: I don’t think we’re – I don’t think people are giving it away – they’re not doing it.
Houston: But now Putin is saying – I’m sorry, Huppy. But now Putin is saying that if you send those weapons, I would consider it a war.
Goldberg: Here’s the thing. Putin can say whatever he pleases.
