The massive problem with Russian trucks indicates that the whole war is about to change – indie

During his long career with the Department of Defense, Trent Telenko spent 10 years as an auditor for Army vehicles.

Located in Silly, Texas, he received and inspected the steady flow of military vehicles damaged in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. The experience gave Telenko a look at details that others could easily miss, as well as a unique view of Russia’s progress in Ukraine.

In early March, Telenko saw on social media a picture of a Russian Pantsir-S1 missile system near the Ukrainian city of Kherson. Immediately his eyes went to the tires of the system. Instead of using high-quality, more expensive tires that could support the extraordinary weight of the Pantsir-S1, the Russian military opted for cheaper, lower-quality, Chinese-made tires. He also noticed that they were in terrible shape because they were not properly maintained.

This is a thread that will explain the underlying right rear pair of tires of the Pantysir-S1 wheeled gun-missile system and the weak Russian army’s truck maintenance exercises based on this photo of the operational impact in the Ukrainian mud season.
