Fox Business host Stuart Verney predicts stability and the worst economic crisis in decades in a March 22 edition. Vernie & Co.
Verni warned that inflation would rise next year and potentially trigger even stagnation. “We haven’t felt it in a generation but it seems certain it has gone our way again,” Verni said.
According to Verni, economic woes, including rising food prices, rising gas prices and hefty electricity bills, are currently exacerbating a serious problem that “everyone can see and feel.” The US economy suffered from stagnation in the late 1970s and early 1980s.
It was not long before “an angry electorate” ousted President Jimmy Carter from the White House in protest of the long gas line and the stalemate. Depending on how warm inflation continues in the coming months, we may experience a déjà vu moment this November.
“We’re already feeling the pinch in our wallets,” said Verni “I think politicians will feel it at the ballot box and soon.”
Stagflation is “slow growth or ‘no’ growth, with rising prices,” Verni explained. “The economy will slow down. It’s part of the ‘stagflation’ – stagnant economy, rising prices. ”
The stagnant inflation will be more dangerous than the record inflation that is already ruining the pockets of Americans.
Most Americans seem to be paying close attention and rejecting liberal media efforts to oust President Joe Biden. Google searches for the term “stagflation” reached “top popularity” between March 6 and March 12. A recent poll by the Rasmussen Report indicates that 64 percent of potential U.S. voters believe that Biden’s policy has skyrocketed inflation.
Peter Schiff, an economist and founder of Euro Pacific Asset Management, similarly warned in the March 12 edition of his radio show that the United States was heading for rapid inflation and possibly hyperinflation.
He argued that “the inflation we have experienced in the previous twelve months is higher than any other twelve-month period in the entire 1970s.”
Schiff claims that the fire of inflation, if left unchecked, could turn into a fire.
