Scarborough avoids Biden’s Afghan fiasco in Russia’s interpretation of Ukraine

Vladimir Putin MSNBC Morning Joe 3-24-22Call it the Afghan Hound that did not bark.

On thursday Morning JoeJoe Scarborough argued that dictator Vladimir Putin had determined that he had a “good reason” to invade Ukraine, based on the Western weakness of Russia’s earlier invasion.

Scarborough was not saying that Putin was Fair In the attack he meant it Putin is a “strong man” who likes to prey on the weak, And so he thought that in the light of recent history he could invade Ukraine with impunity.

In his support, Scarborough mentioned the humility of the West when Russia visited Georgia, Crimea and Syria. There was, however, a glaring – and more recent – example of American weakness that Scarborough failed to cite: Biden’s failure to do so in the wake of his withdrawal from Afghanistan.

Biden even went so far as to inform the Taliban of a definite date within which all U.S. troops would be withdrawn – given the important intelligence they needed to plan their attacks. And Ol ‘Joe has completely miscalculated the pace of Taliban occupation. Biden estimated that this would take months. In fact, it only took a few days.

So how can a self-respecting “journalist” or commentator neglect to point out Biden’s Afghan failure as an important factor in Putin’s calculations? The answer is simple: Scarborough was No. Self-respecting he has moved from the self-described “conservative” to the all-in-Biden Seikofant. Sad!

More broadly, Scarborough failed to cite another striking example of Biden’s weakness in his January statement that a “small intrusion” by Putin into Ukraine would not result in a full-fledged US response. At the time, we noticed that Scarborough actually equated Biden with Hitler’s appeasement in Neville Chamberlain and said that it might invite Shike to invade Taiwan. But all that has apparently been scrubbed from Scarborough’s memory bank!

Joe Scarborough: He is a strong man. He – he likes his image as a strong person. And She loves to be a victim of weakness. And He sees America and the West as weak Good reason. In Georgia I, we did not respond the way we should haven 2008, in Ukraine In 2014 [BRZEZINSKI SIGHS] And in Syria in 2015, when war crimes had already taken place. And so, this is a man who – he thought – could re-enter Ukraine, and let the Western world take what it wants. Well, the Western world has risen, and in fact, again, as [Madeleine] As Albright and many others have predicted, it has become his worst, worst nightmare. I mean, we’re talking about NATO troops now that NATO is doubling along the border at the eastern-most frontier. The question is: How will he react now that he is cornered?
