Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin is considering running for the seat of late envoy Don Young, she announced Monday.
The young man died on Friday at the age of 88.

“Are you ready to announce your candidacy for that seat?” Bowling asked.
“Oh my goodness, think of those huge shoes that will fit when we consider Don Young’s longevity and his passion, his love, our wonderful kingdom Alaska and his fighting spirit for the whole nation,” Pauline said.
Pauline then announced that she would be “humble and honorable” to serve in her seat.
“In a heartbeat, I will,” he continued. “We’ll see how this process goes to fill that seat, but it will be an honor.”
The former vice-presidential nominee added that he had “nothing to lose.”
“While the media has already clubbed you, you can be as bad as you are, and haters, you’re not going to change their minds, but you have to believe that there are enough Americans who understand where you’re coming from,” he said. “I think there are enough Americans who understand what we need, and while I have nothing to lose, as in today’s case, I think it will be good for my family, even, yes, I will serve.”
