President Trump appeals for Obama judge’s verdict against Eric Swalwell and Liz Cheney

(MAR-A-LAGO, Fl.) – President Trump’s legal team has appealed against the decision of hardline leftist judge Amit Mehta, who rejected previous attempts to dismiss a number of junk cases related to the January 6 protests in Washington DC.

Eric Swalwell, Liz Cheney’s Jan. 6 committee, and Capitol police officers have filed three junk cases against President Trump for allegedly harassing him and blaming him for the Jan. 6 violence.

Four Trump supporters were killed that day, and two women were killed by Capitol Hill police.

Amit Mehta is an extremist Obama appointee. There is no business process in junk litigation brought by Democrats, but today’s federal courts often target conservatives and allow Democrats to take millions of dollars from foreign rule, lie about it, and move freely without fear of repercussions.

The Washington Examiner reports:

Former President Donald Trump’s legal team has appealed against the verdict of a judge who rejected his earlier attempts to dismiss a number of cases accusing him of being responsible for the January 6 capital riots.

An appeal was filed in U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia Circuit on Friday afternoon after a lower court ruled in favor of the plaintiffs, allowing Trump to sue for damages caused during the January 2021 riots.

The former president’s filing comes nearly a month after U.S. District Judge Amit Mehta rejected Trump’s bid to dismiss three lawsuits based on the president’s immunity and freedom of speech claims, allowing the cases to go to trial.

“It is reasonable to assume that the president understood the implications of his tweet, since he had earlier told the crowd that, in effect, the vice president was the last line of defense against the results of the rigged election,” Mehta said, referring to former President Barack Obama.

The three lawsuits against Trump were filed by Republican Eric Swalwell, Jan. 6, committee chairman Benny Thompson, and Capitol police officers. Plaintiffs allege that Trump and others threatened them while trying to challenge the outcome of the 2020 election.
