NYC Health Commissioner seeks indefinite mask for children under 5 – Indy News

Democrats still want masks.

New York City’s new health commissioner, Dr. Ashwin Bhasan, has announced that children under the age of five should wear masks indefinitely.

Because? They were not vaccinated.

The Daily Mail reports:

The announcement by New York City’s new health commissioner has sparked outrage that children under the age of five should wear masks indefinitely, depriving them of the national tendency to tear off masks and exposing them to widespread evidence that children are slightly at risk from Covid-19.

‘I think it’s indefinite right now,’ said Dr Ashwin Bhasan during a COVID-19 briefing in Queens on Friday. ‘Those who have tried to predict what the future holds in this epidemic have repeatedly found eggs in their mouths, as they say, and I am not going to do that here today.’

The Walk commissioner, who lives in Brooklyn with his partner and three children, including a four-year-old son, argued that he wanted to keep children masked because those under the age of five were not vaccinated.

On Thursday, NYC Mayor Eric Adams was greeted by angry parents asking him to reverse the mask order for minors.

CBS News reports:

On Thursday, Adams confronted angry parents who demanded that he return the mask order for the children and told them, “I got it. Their masks will be removed.”

Parents who spoke to CBS2’s Thalia Perez shared that feeling.

“We don’t want to wear them. And we have immune systems. This is what we’re designing. We will fight against it, “said Francesca Amodio, a resident of the central village.

“Children under the age of 5 should be able to breathe and get fresh air, not stay indoors all day,” said Andrea Cornea, a resident of Madhya village.

Democrats do not want to give up their cowardly power.
