MSNBC Loon: Howley Gatting killed Jackson by questioning the judicial record

Saturday morning Cross connection On MSNBC, part of the upcoming confirmation hearing for Biden Supreme Court nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson, The Nation’s judicial correspondent, Eli Mistal, claimed that Senator Josh Howley (R-MO) had leaked his record of trying to assassinate Jackson. Soft on child porn offenders.

Host Tiffany Cross first discussed Howley’s concerns about Jackson’s record:

He is going to focus on his pattern as both a judge and a policy maker to hook off child pornography offenders for their crimes. I mean, this is a guy who works for the same party as Jim Jordan, so he and Matt Getz are very good at listening. I mean should we start this list of things? It’s kind of ridiculous.

He then proceeded to claim “Republicans have nothing on the Senate Judiciary Committee, so their strategy will be scrapped.” And that has GOP “He has no plans to attack the record.” Despite only reporting their plans “His record attack.”

Mistel responded that he thinks Republicans should just roll over and not be challenged. “The easiest thing for Republicans to do is to make sure the board’s hearings are normal, a little higher.” Because “He does not, however, change the balance of power of the court.”

He then suggested that Republican allegations about high gas prices or the contents of Hunter Biden’s laptops were trivial: “Go back to crying over gas prices or talk about Hunter Biden’s laptops or anything else that is considered a Republican platform these days.”

Mistel then turned to Howley, who dared to bring Jackson’s judicial record on the easy release of child pornographers:

Because that’s what Josh Howley is doing. Let’s be very clear. When Josh Howley tries to do this, what he’s doing is trying to kill him. He is trying to use violence against a Supreme Court nominee. And we know this because when these people stop making ridiculous claims about child pornography, we know that some of them seem to be doing things violently, like what happened at the New Hampshire Pizza Parlor.

If the bench were to try to hold a Supreme Court nominee accountable for his record “attempted murder”, what would you say to the false accusation that then nominee Brett Kavanagh was a gang rapist?

But before you answer some interesting Eli I just want to say because Politico is reporting that basically, these guys have nothing. Republicans have nothing on the Senate Judiciary Committee, so their strategy will be scrapped. I’m just curious, what are your thoughts about this because the point is they really have no worries. They have no plans to attack his record.

Eli Mistel: The easiest thing for Republicans to do is to be somewhat normal with board hearings, let’s make sure. He does not, however, change the balance of power of the court. And go back to talking about things that work for them. Go back to crying about gas prices or talk about Hunter Biden’s laptops or anything else that is considered a Republican platform nowadays. Because he’s going to be sure. And he will like it well for sure, and he’s not going to change the balance of power so they’re wasting their time going to bed against him. But I don’t want the Josh Howley thing to be a lie. Because here I want the Democrats to step up. Because when they try to discredit him, my Democrats must stand up and defend him, and defend him as loudly as Lindsay Graham defends the alleged rapist, Brett Kavanagh. I need that level of strength from Democrats, for example, especially when they come to him with this Trump-up allegation about punishing sex offenders.

Because that’s what Josh Howley is doing. Let’s be very clear. When Josh Howley tries to do this, what he’s doing is trying to kill him. He is trying to use violence against a Supreme Court nominee. And you know how I know Josh Howley knows what Pizza Gate is? Because guess who the judge who sentenced the Pizza Gate man is? That Ketanji Brown Jackson. He sentenced the Pizza Gate man to four years in prison. His lawyer asked for 18 months. Prosecutors actually asked for 4 1/2 years, so he was polite, he was kind to the pizza gate guy. But they are mad at him for it. And so good that’s where this stuff is coming from. You need to know where it’s coming from and Democrats need to know how to protect him from this. Instead of leaving it there on its own.
