Another orange Harris worker is leaving the VP’s office.
Sabrina Singh, Kamala Harris’s deputy press secretary, is leaving the VP’s office for a position at the Pentagon.
Sabrina Singh is the ninth high profile employee to leave Harris’s office.
Another top aide to Vice President Kamala Harris is leaving his office. Sabrina Singh, Harris’ current deputy press secretary, is moving to the Department of Defense for a new role, according to an internal email received by CBS News detailing changes in staff in the vice president’s office.
Jamal Simmons, the vice president’s communications director, wrote in the “sad news” memo of Singh’s departure. “We will miss his institutional knowledge, strategic advice and quick-fire e-mail fingers,” Simmons said.
Singh’s announcement marks the departure of one of Harris’ longest-serving associates in an office with many newcomers in the vice president’s orbit. Harris first hired Singh in March 2020 to run contacts for his political activities. Singh became Harris’ chief adviser during the silent campaign of prominent Democrats to join Joe Biden’s ticket. He also worked for Harris during the general election and the passage. Singh has been the Deputy Press Secretary since the beginning of the administration.
