Judge decides Don Lemon’s sexual harassment case – Indy News

A federal judge has handed down a verdict in the case of a man accused of sexual harassment against CNN anchor Don Lemon.

As the legal battle between the two men continues, Lemon’s accused Dustin Hayes has been ordered to pay a টাই 77,000 legal fee to the prime-time host, Radar Online reports.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Thomas Locke quoted the two main witnesses in the case as defending the plaintiff.

In February, the host was due to stand trial for a jury trial in the case of a Hampton bartender who accused him of sexual harassment, Radar Online reported.

According to court documents obtained by Radar, a federal judge in New York has ordered the case filed by Dustin Hayes against CNN Anchor to go before a jury.

The order was entered into the court system on December 20, 2021 Lemon objected to a jury trial and sought a bench trial instead

In a bench trial, the parties have to argue before a judge who will make the final decision in the case.

However, Lemon’s efforts to avoid going before the jury were thwarted. The judge noted that the anchor would not be harmed and that “there is ample time to prepare for trial.”

His is not a fan of CNN, but he was thrilled to see network fire Chris Cuomo, Fox News reported.

“They cover a network with predators and perverts,” he said. “Lemon will have to testify under oath in the near future, but it’s good to see that some accountability is finally happening.”

Hice maintains that she is looking for peace of mind after what she says is a horrific encounter in which Lemon puts his hand on the front of his shorts, rubs his genitals’ vigorously “and pours the same hand into his mustache area. When asked an obscene question, “Fox News reported.

“These are the people. They are hunter-gatherers, they slander and stigmatize victims with impunity,” the bartender said.

“They tried to crush me, they tried to intimidate the witnesses in my case, they revealed secret information about me in an attempt to dock me. They are involved. This is who they are, “he said.

Anchor attorneys defended their client.

“In response to Mr Hayes ‘baseless allegations, I urge the public to review the public filings, which show that Mr Hayes’ claims continue to erode when exposed to the civil litigation process. Mr. Hess’s fictional and alluring allegations against Mr. Lemon have broken down in their own weight. Unlike Mr. Hayes, Mr. Lemon has sued the court and will continue to do so, not the press. We look forward to hearing from you so that we can finally put this case behind you, “said Attorney Caroline J. The policy says.

CNN said it believed the plaintiff was attacking Lemon because of his hatred of CNN.

“The plaintiff in this case has previously displayed a pattern of insulting CNN on his social media accounts,” it said. “This claim follows his unsuccessful threat and the demand for excessive money from Don Lemon. Don has categorically denied the allegations and is not entitled to comment further. “

But Hayes’ former attorney, Andrew Miltenberg, said Hayes would do it because he disliked CNN.

“Mr Hayes will present himself through the painful process of filing a sexual harassment case against his attacker because it’s ridiculous that he doesn’t just like TV stations. It’s a shame that the CNN Attack Machine is blaming the victims for Mr. Lemon’s gross sexual misconduct, “said the attorney.

And Hayes believes Lemon works that way because he believes he’s protected by his race and he’s gay.

“Anyone who behaves in public, without fear of harm or consequences, is a pattern,” he told the New York Post.

“I wouldn’t be surprised,” he said. “She is protected by the fact that she is African American, gay on television and I am not the only one.”
