Jordan says it will investigate GOP Fawcett if it wins House in November – Indy News

Several Republican lawmakers have hinted that if the GOP regains a majority in the House of Representatives in the mid-2022 elections, they plan to open an investigation against Dr. Anthony Fawcett.

In an interview with Fox News, Ohio GOP Republican Jim Jordan said Republicans would “uncover” what Fawcett knew about the source of the coronavirus epidemic.

“If the American people return to our responsibilities, we are going to do it,” Jordan said, adding that his colleagues would push for a congressional inquiry into the origin of the coronavirus.

“Because we now know without a doubt that Dr. Fawcett knew on January 31 and February 1 that this thing came from a lab,” Jordan argued. “The country’s top scientists say it came from a lab. One scientist said that we received the notes from the February 1 conference call. “I don’t see how this can happen in nature, but it will be easier to do it in the lab,” said one scientist.

“And yet in just a few days, they have changed their position, writing an article in the journal Nature of Medicine, which is then quoted in the now-famous letter The Lancet, which became good news for the fact that Fawcett could go. Go out and tell people it didn’t come from the lab when they knew it had happened, “Jordan continued.

“The interesting thing is. We point out this. We learned just last week that the two doctors who were most adamant that this thing came from an early lab: one was Dr. Christian Anderson. On January 31, 2020, he said in an email to Dr. Fawcett: ‘The virus seems to be engineered. The virus is not compatible with evolutionary theory. So, he knew it came from a lab, “he added.

“They have changed their position,” Jordan argued. “And a few months later, guess what? They get 9 8.9 million, he and Dr. [Robert] Gary – the guy who said it could not happen. “

Clock:

“When are we going to be accountable to Anthony Fawcett? See, he’s missing one reason at the moment, and only one reason: Democrats are looking to the vote. It wasn’t the dead Americans that made the Democrats move. It was not the dead Americans who forced Fawcett to leave. It was a vote. And I want to hold Anthony Fawcett accountable, “said Texas GOP Republican Chip Roy.

“And if you look at it, Dr. Fawcett, look, because when the Americans give us control in the House of Representatives, God willing, we’re going to get some answers on behalf of the American people,” he added.

Kentucky GOP Sen. Rand Paul Fawcett promised to investigate if the Republicans return to the Senate in the medium term.

“If we win in November, if I become chairman of a committee, if I have subpona power, we will follow his every record,” Paul said. “One of our investigators has to go through this piece because we don’t have to do it again.”

Paul introduced an amendment this week that would remove Faussie’s position as director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.

Paul said the goal is to decentralize the position so that no one can act as “dictator-in-chief” in the name of public health.

Paul’s amendment would reorganize the NIAID into three separate national research institutes, with their own directors, including the National Institute of Allergic Diseases, the National Institute of Infectious Diseases, and the National Institute of Immunological Diseases.

“We’ve learned a lot in the last two years, but one lesson, in particular, is that no one should be considered a ‘dictator-in-chief,'” Paul said in a statement announcing the amendment. “No one should have the unilateral authority to make decisions for millions of Americans.”
