“Has become unstable, increasingly unstable over time” – Indy News

Former Fox News star Chris Wallace is showing his ungrateful side by trashing his former employer and his former colleagues as he prepares to start his new job on CNN.

Wallace said: “Previously, I saw this as an environment where I could do my job and feel good about my involvement at Fox. And since November 2020, it has only become unstable, increasingly unstable over time.”

“I’m good at opinions: conservative, liberal. But when people start questioning the truth – who won the 2020 election? Was there a revolt on January 7? – I found it unstable.

“I spent a lot of time in 2021 looking to see if I had a place to work.

“Some people can draw the line before or elsewhere.

“I think Fox has changed in the last year and a half.

“But I must understand where someone would say, Gee, you were a slow student, Chris.

“I wanted to get out of politics.

“Building a Sunday show on the weekly changes in the Build Back Better Plan is starting to lose its appeal.

“I had a reason to leave Fox because I wanted to keep them behind me. There was not a moment when I second-guessed myself about this decision.”

From the hill:

Wallace, who has been an anchor at Fox News for decades, hosted “Fox News Sunday” and led several presidential debates – sending a shock wave through the political media landscape in December when he announced he would just quit his job at the news giant.

Hours after his announcement, CNN revealed that Wallace would join his new streaming service, CNN +, which will launch this week. The streaming service will feature many news and featured shows from CNN’s top talent, including a sit-down interview-style program hosted by Wallace.

In an interview with the Times, Wallace reports that he felt uncomfortable with the comments and parts of leading Fox hosts about the 2020 presidential election and the January 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. capital by supporters of former President Trump.
