Guest School Jackson, Gitmo terrorists are being released

Within three days of Supreme Court Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson’s confirmation hearing, Daily Blast Live Host and co-host this week’s guest Scene, Lindsay Granger provided the much-needed dose of reality and strongly pushed the insanity engendered by co-host Sunny Houston as she refused to talk to Guantanamo Bay detainees about the events of Jackson’s time. And co-host Sarah Haynes argued that discriminating against Justice Amy Connie Barrett “makes sense.”

Justice Brett Kavanagh “sexually assaulted” Co-host Hopi Goldberg after he made a false claim, and Huff was half-hearted with questions about the Houston Critical Race Theory, Granger said when it came to Jackson’s record in GitMo.

“I think he said, even if he’s perfect, we have to push hardball and ask questions. It’s for the Supreme Court, “he said.” And I think with Guantanamo, they did.

Referring to an earlier remark by Houston on how Republicans are adopting “political theater,” Granger argued that “although you may think of it as theater, there are real elements.” And from there, he dropped information about the release of prisoners and the “killing of Americans.” There are 229 prisoners [been] Has been released and re-engaged in terrorist activities, “he said.

Satya angrily hosts Hostin and sparks with co-host Sarah Haynes, forcing Granger to return to the floor (click “Extend”):

Houston (interrupting the gangster): The problem is they misquoted him and they said he –

GANGER: He worked –

[Crosstalk]

GANGER: I don’t want to say the wrong thing. I want to talk about his real work.

HOUSTIN: But you have to talk about the wrong quote because that was the real line to ask!

Sarah Haynes: Well, let him finish. Let’s finish it.

Granger: No, I mean the real work on Guantanamo Bay.

“She is OK. We do not want a Supreme Court trial that is soft on terrorists, “said Granger.

Added: “I think we can all agree that even if a terrorist kills an American and then kills another, that’s a lot. And so, we have to be tough at times and understand where he stands. Because we should all agree that this is a simple idea. “

Granger said the reason Senator Lindsay Graham (R-SC) left the room for Jackson’s Gitmo North was because he was an “enthusiastic” American who “doesn’t want to see Americans die twice at the hands of terrorists.”

And while Houston was huffing and puffing at Republican senators for using “misinformation” against Jackson, he was doing just that. Houston obscured the fact that while Jackson represented the Gitmo prisoners as a public defender, he also worked for them in private. And he did not call former President Bush and former Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld “war criminals,” but said they had committed “war crimes” (and who did them? War criminals.).

All of this was followed by Haynes chiming in with his own two cents, and when Justice Amy Connie Barrett was being convinced it was okay to aim for her religion.

And according to his twisted argument, it is For Democrats, discriminating against Barrett on the basis of his religion is “precisely because the pro-life movement is dividing this country.” “[Barrett’s] Lifelong adherence to religion. He went to church on Sunday, and he was on the board, he was on the pro-life board. “ Haynes says.

This unwavering defense of Judge Jackson was made possible by the lucrative sponsorship from General Mills and Carshield. Their contact information is attached.

Lindsay Granger: I think he said, even if he’s perfect, we need to ask hardball, pressing questions. This is for the Supreme Court.

Hoopi Goldberg: It would be nice if they could do that.

Granger: And I think with Guantanamo, they did. And although you may think it’s dramatic, there’s real substance in it. So the Guantanamo Bay detainees were released earlier and the Americans were killed. In Afghanistan, they went to 220 – there are cases, there are 229 prisoners [been] Release and re-engagement in terrorist activities.

Sunny Houston (interrupting the gangster): The problem is they misquoted him and they said he –

He will have to come to that discussion about his work at Guantanamo Bay. We do not want a flexible Supreme Court trial of terrorists.

I think we can all agree that even if a terrorist kills an American and then kills another, it is much more. And so, we have to be tough at times and understand where he stands because we all have to agree that this is a common idea.

And so, as Graham goes out, I wonder if the American people are so passionate that they don’t want to see Americans die twice at the hands of terrorists.

HOUSTIN: She’s not that passionate! All right? That was the history. That was the political theater. The problem with asking questions – and I agree with you – is that asking questions is legitimate, but you can’t start a question with the wrong information, in the wrong context, and they did.

Granger: Exactly.

Houston: They say he has called President Bush and the Secretary of Defense war criminals. She didn’t. They said something else and said he chose to protect these terrorists. He was a public defender. Public Defenders Don’t – Don’t Choose The People They Defend.

HAINES: Let me jump in here. When Lindsay Graham was referring to religion, you could say it was rhetorical and she was trolling because it happened to Amy Connie Barrett. The difference, however, was that Amy Connie Barrett should have questioned these issues purely because one of the number one problems that divided this country was the right of a woman to choose pro-life. And it’s a religious one – it’s broadly and mostly based on a religious belief and separates that belief.

So, the truth is that Amy Connie Barrett – justice, sorry – Judge Amy Connie Barrett – mixed religion all her life. Outside of what he went to church on Sunday, what he was on board, he was on the pro-life board.

So when they pressured him on religion where Lindsay Graham gave it a sort of, they were trolling all this personal information, it was absolutely necessary in Amy Connie Barrett’s interrogation. When they did this with Ketanji Brown, they were trolling him. They are trying to get him to do something.

And what I have seen is that they will not vote on what they hear at this hearing. They are going to vote down the party line. He’s going to go through it, and he deserves to go through it, but it was all about campaigning for the presidency.
