Graphic video shows two men pushing a pit bull over a family cat – Indy News

The Pennsylvania SPCA is searching for two men who were seen in a video biting their dogs on a family cat while sitting on the porch of a home in the Frankford section of Philadelphia on Tuesday morning. Security cameras captured the two men walking on the porch and then encouraged their dog to kill the family pet. The cat survived but had to undergo surgery.

In the video, two black men are seen releasing their dog while trying to kill the cat. The two men were seen smiling from the sidewalk of Philadelphia when the dog barked at the cat. The attack stopped when the owner of the house came out and chased them away.

Friend, a “gentle and caring” family cat, has sustained “life-threatening” injuries. The PSPCA shared an update on the cat’s condition on Wednesday, noting that the cat was in critical condition. PSCPA officials say they are ‘cautiously optimistic’ and have shared a link to a fundraiser for medical services.

At one point, the men shouted, “Take him away” and “Good boy” while the two pit bulls were beating the cat. The dogs still seemed to be holding the cat when the owner came out, forcing him to tear it from the attacking dog’s mouth.

The SPCA said the two men, if found, could face criminal charges of animal fighting and animal cruelty that could result in up to seven years in prison.
