Elon Musk’s Starlink helps Ukraine dominate the skies – Indy News

Elon Musk, the billionaire CEO of Tesla, SpaceX and Starlink, has given Ukraine an advantage in the war with Russia by paying dividends.

The Daily Mail reports that since February 24, Aerozvidka (aerial reconnaissance) has been using Ukraine to attack Russian drones and to target tanks and track their locations.

Able to use the newly available Starlink to keep drones used in the field connected and to provide intelligence as the Internet and power outages plague Ukraine.

Britain’s defense ministry warned last week that Moscow was “probably” targeting Ukraine’s communications infrastructure.

With the help of technology, drones can be instructed to drop anti-tank weapons to help prevent Russian attacks.

Ukrainians are also enlisting the help of an unmanned aerial vehicle (PD-1) with infrared sensors. With 10-foot wings, the vehicles are being used to gather vital information on the movements of Russian troops.

The Ukrainian drone unit uses a ‘delta’ system, which has been perfected in recent years with the help of Western advisers.

It can be accessed by Basic Laptop, and has a ‘Situation Awareness’ software installed that creates an interactive map using images from drones, satellites, human intelligence and sensors to create a physical image to help track the enemy.

It is said to be the equivalent of what NATO uses and is helped by the West. The United States has reportedly spent billions of dollars protecting Russia from hacking.

At the request of Ukrainian Vice-Prime Minister Mikhail Fedorov, Mask provided Stirling equipment, which he thanked for his assistance.

“Starlink – here,” Ukrainian Vice Prime Minister Mikhail Fedorov said in a tweet with an attached picture of Internet communication tools. “Thanks, @elonmask.”

“Welcome,” replied the billionaire.

Musk said SpaceX’s Starlink satellite broadband service has been made available in Ukraine and more terminals are on the way.

Musk’s tweet came in response to a tweet from Fedorov, which said: @elonmusk, while you are trying to colonize Mars – Russia is trying to occupy Ukraine! When your rocket successfully landed from space – Russian rocket attacks Ukrainian citizens! We ask you to provide Ukraine with Starlink station and call on intelligent Russians to stand up. “

“Dear lonelonmusk, Ukraine needs your support. Your position and your actions are important. Here is a request from our Minister of Digital Transformation, “Ukraine said in its own tweet.

“The Starlink service is now active in Ukraine,” Musk said. “More terminals on the route.”

“Starlink provides high-speed, low-latency broadband internet worldwide. Within each coverage area, orders are met on a first-come, first-served basis, ”the company said in a statement. “Using advanced satellites in low orbit, Starlink enables video calls, online gaming, streaming and other high data rate activities that have not historically been possible with the satellite Internet.”

“Starlink is ideally suited for areas where connectivity is unreliable or completely unavailable,” it says. “People around the world are using Starlink to gain access to education, health care and even communication assistance during natural disasters.”
