An elderly woman snatched at gunpoint after three suspects approached her home

OAKLON, Illinois – An elderly woman was stabbed at gunpoint after answering the door when a woman pretending to sell candy arrived at her home Tuesday evening.

The victim, a woman in her 70s, was alone at home when she refused to buy sweets from the suspect and closed the front door.

The teenage suspect arrived at the elderly woman’s home for the second time with a man armed with a handgun.

After answering at the door a second time, three suspects broke into the home, injuring the elderly woman and looting her home, ABC News reported.

The female suspect held the elderly woman at gunpoint as two other male suspects stole from the house.

The three suspects got into an escape vehicle – a white Kia Optima.

Oak Lawn police are asking the public for help in identifying robbery suspects.

A 70’s woman was recovering from a gunshot wound to her head on Thursday when suspects looted her home.

The bomber struck shortly after noon in front of a home in Oak Lane, Illinois, when a woman approached the residence pretending to be selling candy, police said. The elderly lady refuses to make a purchase and closes the door.

The woman was alone at home at the time of the incident. Police said he was slightly injured in the robbery.

Authorities described the suspect as a short man, believed to be 30, with short black hair and a heavy set. The other man, believed to be in his 40s, is tall with a heavy build and a round face. The females are tall and have a slender structure. The driver was not described.

“The safety of the community is a top priority for the police department,” the police said in a statement. “We will continue to actively pursue this case and all those involved in the violence and crime. We plan to use every means at our disposal to assist in the arrest of those involved. ”

No arrests have been made so far. Anyone who can identify the suspects involved in the incident is being requested to contact the Oak Lawn Police Department’s Intelligence Department.
